On Saturday 18th May, East Sussex Hearing proudly celebrated the launch of our brand new Outreach Vehicle, known as the Hearing Hopper, alongside our Clinic Room.
The Hearing Hopper, a vehicle the size of an ambulance, is set to further support the delivery of our outreach services. With this mobile unit, we can now travel to towns and villages across the county, bringing vital support to the 122,000 people in the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community. From information on our British Sign Language and Lipreading classes to hearing health advice and equipment demonstrations, the Hearing Hopper is equipped to deliver a wide range of services directly to those who need them most.
But that’s not all – we’re also thrilled to announce the opening of our newly equipped Clinic Room, specifically designed to accommodate our much-anticipated Microsuction (Ear Wax Removal) service. Our qualified TympaHealth practitioners are ready to offer a safe, comfortable procedure with swift referrals to TympaHealth audiologists and ENT consultants when necessary.
The overwhelming success of our launch event is a testament to the incredible support from our generous donors and sponsors. We are deeply grateful for their contributions, which have made this milestone possible. Their unwavering support has not only brought these initiatives to life but also ensures that we can continue providing essential services to the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community across the county. 👏🎉
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors and donors who made these services a reality:
