Hearing loops or induction loops are a form of transmitting audio from a source directly to the persons hearing aids. The user must have the telecoil (loop) setting enabled on their hearing aids.
This type of loop is perfect for reception desks and kiosks where it is important that the member of staff behind the counter can be heard. They are very unintrusive installs that are cheap and quick to install.
Room loops come in a range of varieties depending on the needs and construction of the room. There are also other factors such as security that will have to be taken in to context.
For one on one situations or use in busy environments a personal loop can be ideal to help get some clarity and to cut out background noise picked up by your hearing aids.
